Hiking with Toddlers

Posted By on March 8, 2010

There are rocks lining the trails in Joshua Tree National Park. Leah wants to step and jump off every. single. one.

This is how it goes.

Step up on rock.

Say, “Rock.”

Jump off of rock.

Repeat 1,535,432 times.

Pictures for your enjoyment.

  1. I usually end up hiking with the toddlers… and I can honestly say, I Don’t Mind. Ü Cute pics… thanks for sharing. Ü

Oh, that is CUTE. Yes, there is no fast walking when toddlers are present. I do love their delight in exploring the world around them. Makes me slow down a bit and delight a little too…

Thanks for the smile this morning. :-)

  3. Mom says:

    My morning chuckle!

    Too cute!
We have a trail we walk often. It has several tree stumps, where the trees were cleared to make the path. Parker and Aaron always have to race to each one and then they take turns climbing on it and pretending they are king of the forest.

So very cute. Thanks so much for sharing those pictures.

  6. We haven’t been to Joshua Tree yet, but it’s on our “to do” list. Seeing how this is our first time being stationed on the west coast, we have quite a few things on our “to do” list. lol!

My daughter loves to do the rock thing. ;)
